4 simple recipes that will make you love fruit smoothies

It’s hard not to like fruit smoothies. They are sweet, nutritious and healthy, plus when composed the right way, they can help lose weight.
If you make them out of whole fruits, they are a powerful source of fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. You can drink them everyday, even when dieting.

Fruit smoothies are a recipe for vitality and great state of mind, and to many people also for getting your dream body. The below smoothies, despite their weight-loss properties, are sweet and delicious. They can be supplemented with water, yogurt, milk or kephir.

Orange autumn smoothie

There is room in it for oranges as well as pears, carrots or autumn-time warming spices.
Ingredients:

  • 1 peeled orange
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 sweet, ripe pears
  • a pinch of spices: cinnamon, cardamom, chili

Mix all the ingredients plus the spices into a smooth blend. We don’t need to add honey or other sweeteners – the smoothie gets enough sweetness from the pears.

Citrus smoothie

Citrus fruits are known for their weight-loss properties that in the below smoothie are also enhanced by the added turmeric.
Pineapple, on the other hand, is there to provide a better, sweeter taste. We’d advise against adding it, however, if you’re on a low GI diet. The smoothie may also be sweetened with erythritol, xylitol, stevia or maple syrup.
Ingredients:

  • few pieces of pomelo
  • half a grapefruit
  • an orange
  • lemon juice
  • a fresh pineapple
  • turmeric

Green cleansing smoothie

Green smoothies tend to have slimming & cleansing properties. They consist of different proportions of vegetables, which makes it a good idea to sweeten them with a sweet fruit, xylitol, honey or maple syrup.

Below we suggest ripe pears. We blend the whole thing smooth, with optionally added water.
Ingredients:

  • two big ripe pears
  • parsley (a leaf)
  • a green cucumber with skin
  • lemon juice
  • aloe juice

Creamy banana-based smoothie

Ingredients:

    • a banana
    • two kiwifruits
    • a glass of fresh or frozen raspberries

This smoothie owes its creamy texture to the added banana, although it can be made stronger by adding a glass of yogurt. Another great addition would be milk. We especially recommend this smoothie to active people and athletes, for whom banana constitutes a valuable source of energy and minerals.
